I had the pleasure of catering a business event for 150 people. 300 cookies was definitely a challenge but so much fun. We broke out the stock pot for all that brown butter. The new 13QT bowl made an appearance and all six cookie sheets got a turn. I couldn't have done it without help of course, so a big thank you to my loving husband Aaron. He may not know his way around the kitchen, but he's great at listening and always willing to lend a hand. Just making the dough took four long hours, but luckily you can freeze it ahead of time! Good thing we have three freezers lol. (I told him you can never have too much refrigeration.)
The oven got a work out, but the house smelled amazing. I know they make sugar cookie scented candles, but there is nothing like the real thing. 150 snickerdoodles gave the air a scent of cinnamon and the brown butter chocolate chip cookies added a nutty, rich aroma. Keeping your hands off is always a challenge.
The oven is barely cool but it won't be long before I fire it up again. If you find yourself in Owasso on Thursday 7/7/22 make sure to stop by our booth. We'll be selling delicious baked goods.
